Softball Strength Academy is centered around the idea that there is more to softball than hitting, fielding, and pitching. Often underdeveloped are the much larger aspects to our game: The physical demands on the body and an athlete's mental prowess. Here at SSA, we symbiotically mesh physical skill, strength and conditioning, and mental game training to ensure that an athlete is performing in all facets of the game.
We believe that the true development of an athlete happens way beneath the surface of talent. Development is comprised of character, mental & physical strength, and deep understanding of the game.

Ryan joined Softball Strength Academy making the move from Florida to New York in the winter of 2014. Since her arrival, she has drastically changed softball in the community for the better. Ryan works privately with over 500 softball players progressing her athletes through softball skills as well as demanding a high level of mental game awareness. She has been the Varsity softball coach for Yorktown high school for the past two years leading the team to two league championships and a section championship 2017.

Cassie has worked with Softball Strength Academy since its inception in 2014. Having grown up in the area and experiencing softball across the country, her hope has been to come back to her home in the northeast in order to make a positive impact on the game she loves. Cassie combines the scientific knowledge about the swing she obtained from working in the biomechanics lab in Northern Iowa with the invaluable in-game experience garnered from playing softball at the university of alabama.

INTRODUCTION TO SOFTBALL STRENGTH ACADEMY Duration: 4 weeks Cost: $30 Description: This is a 4-week introduction to strength training and hitting. The drills will progress the fundamentals of the swing in preparation for more advanced drills. This program is designed with minimal equipment needs and a great place to start for a beginner.
HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL 1 SOFTBALL PROGRAM Duration: 4 weeks Cost: $50 Description: This is an 8-week, 3-time per week program designed for the advanced high school athlete looking to fine tune the mechanics of their swing as well as take their strength and power to the next level in the weight room.
HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL 2 SOFTBALL PROGRAM Duration: 8 weeks Cost: $50 Description: This is an 8-week, 3 time per week program designed for the intermediate high school athlete. The design is similar to that of the Level 1 High School however suited for the softball athlete needing more work developing the basics of their swing and regressions to strength and power development.
ELITE STRENGTH, POWER & CONDITIONING FOR THE SOFTBALL ATHLETE Duration: 8 weeks Cost: $60 Description: This is an 8-week, 6 time per week program designed for the elite softball athlete. The workouts are centered around strength, power, and conditioning in order to prepare an athlete for the demands they will face at the next level of softball.
